 My Sketches

These are my sketches. Most, if not all, are all drawn at random (though I do make myself sketch occasionally in order to get rid of my summer-hand, seeing as how my summer work severely cut down on my personal projects. I also occasionally sketch some "questionable material" but I would never upload that here.. maybe one day on my DeviantART but a lot of it is too personal/disturbing.), and I had/have no plans of making them any more defined. My apologies; some of them aren't easy to see. Some of them I tried to make darker so that you could see them better.

It upsets me that these look so poor on my computer (probably because its old), and yet look perfectly clear on the laptop. If you also have a poor computer monitor and/or graphics card, and these pictures appear small and blurry/fuzzy, I reccomend following the links to the photo on Artscad, where it loads to full size clearly. In the ones I checked. I tried making the ones that I do not have uploaded bigger.

Some of these may load weird. Be patient. If that doesnt work, try scrolling up and down the page, or refreshing.

Sketches That Actually Make Sense

I have... like none of these. Atleast not any that i consciously remember/have recorded. Well.. Enjoy the few I do have.

Hunter Sketch (12-31-08)

This is a sketch of my cat, Hunter, in Koh-I-Noor Woodless Colored Pencils. He was sleeping in the chair next to me and I was bored so I did this. Took me maybe 15 minutes. It's a bit faint.  Random Sketches

These are usually what I do at school, usually on scrap paper, either during free-time or when Im zoned-out.... err.... Thinking deeply about what the teacher is discussing (without any actual knowledge of what is going on around me.) They make little to no sense, even to me, but I tend to make no sense so it works. That's why they represent me oh so well.

A Sorta Fairytale (6-18-10)

This picture, inspired by the music video  for the Tori Amos song, A Sorta Fairytale, was actually finished several hundred feet in the air. I finished it on the plane ride home from Washington, D.C., where I went for that Congressional Art Competition thing. I had already had the right arm (Adrien Brody) finished during the last day of school while I was eagerly waiting to leave for my trip later that night. The left leg (Tori Amos) was sketched in the Pittsburgh airport [and it actually caught the attention of a woman who was sitting nearby, waiting for the same flight, and she started talking to me and was kind enough to explain the Metro Station system to us because of it. Cool, eh?] and then finished on the plane ride home, where I also added a little of the background shading to give it a more finished feel.  (For a better look and an in-depth explanation, go to http://stephieeee13445.deviantart.com/#/d2smghc )

Book of the Dead Cover (8-10-09)

This is the cover to my Book of the Dead, which was for my Honors History 9 summer work. It's supposed to represent my interests in life, and since I don't have any, I just drew a bunch of animals and things. Those are my fingers in the bottom left hand corner (as that is where I usually hold the paper at) and my hand drawing the letters. My hand was actually the most difficult part because I had to draw it while using it as a reference and that was interesting because you can't do that and stay still at the same time. I actually was going to color my hand/fingers in, but I decided against it as I was a bit behind schedule and I was afraid I was going to ruin it. So, I left myself sketchy and everything else detailed. (There was some deeper meaning behind that but I am too tired to remember what that was). I'm keeping this one big so you can see the letters near the mummy and Muffin Man, which you can't at artscad.

I got 5 bonus points for the cover, which made me happy. :) (For a better look, go to http://stephieeee13445.deviantart.com/gallery/#/d2je1zr )

Valentine's Day Muffin Man (2-14-09)

Don't ask. Just don't. 2-14-09. (For a better look, go to http://artscad.com/A.nsf/Opra/SRVV-7P9R6J )

The Story of Blaraghath

This was so awesome, and since everyone loved it so much,  I just had to put it on here. For honors history class, we had to make up a mythological Greek monster hybrid (or something like that) and mine was a hybrid of the griffin, cyclops, minotaur, and Mars's Stymphalian birds. I give you, Blaraghath. Along with the pictures, we had to write the monster's attributes and a story to go along with them. Below the picture, for those interested in pure epicness, is the story.

Everything in the story is, I swear to god, just as it was on the paper I turned in. The monster noise and some little details may be slightly off since I typed up the rough draft, but yes, I did end my story on the thing I turned in the exact same way. Enjoy.

The Story of Blaraghath

Blaraghath was created on a Monday. Zeus, who was having an off-day, created Blaraghath at an angle, leaving him with an odd, backwards-leaning curve in his spine. Zeus, pretending not to notice this flaw, then went to bed. This curve in his spine caused Blaraghath quite a bit of pain, and he grew to hate the day of his creation. He became bitter and grumbled hideous "BLARAGARAHAHGHAHHAHGhghhhhahhHGahGHH" noises that brought tears to the eyes of the young, elderly, and weak of heart.

Zeus grew tired of his moping and decided to cheer Blaraghath up with a gift. Realizing that nothing amused anything or anyone more than big and shiny things, Zeus crafted for him a freaking huge mace. However, this still didn't please Blaraghath, and he continued to be irritating. At this point, Zeus lost all patience, and went to go kill him. Zeus smashed his spine with his mighy fist, but not before Blaraghath shot his sharp feathers out at Zeus. He got a feather stuck in his side. Blaraghath's eye glowed as he mumbled some random gibberish, before taking his final breath. And now, every Monday, the feather lodged in Zeus's side hurts. And that is why Mondays suck. so. hard.
